Jason Aldean, wife Jessica Ussery split after cheating scandal: report

Jason Aldean and Jessica Ussery have reportedly split seven months after the country singer was caught kissing former “American Idol” contestant, Brittany Kerr.

A source has told Us Weekly that Aldean and his wife separated as far back as January.

“There were obvious problems before the bar kiss, but he finally left earlier this year,” the source told the publication.

Aldean’s rep told Us, “I can confirm that Jason and his wife are having problems, but there is nothing more to share at this time,” the rep says. “It’s a private family matter, and we hope everyone will respect that he would like to keep it that way.”

In October, the country star issued an apology after photos of him kissing Kerr appeared online.

He wrote on his Facebook, “I wanted to talk to you directly, so you were hearing the truth from me and not just reading allegations made about my personal life on gossip web sites. The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar.

Aldean and Ussery tried to make their union work in wake of the scandal. They appeared together on CBS “This Morning” in November to talk about some of the bumpy roads in their 11-year marriage.

“It hasn’t always been roses,” Aldean said. “We’ve been together for a long time and through a lot of things together. Those are things that most people get to deal with in private, but we didn’t have the luxury of doing that.”

Aldean and Ussery were high school sweethearts and have two daughters, Keeley and Kendyl.
