Mother of Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher’s baby revealed

Celebrity journalist Liza Ghorbani is the secret baby mama of married ex-Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher — and their affair began soon after she wrote a glowing piece about him for the New York Times three years ago, The Post has learned.

The smitten scribe, 39, interviewed Gallagher in 2010, for a very aptly headlined Style Section piece, “A Night Out With Liam Gallagher.” The piece noted how the mop-topped Brit rocker “turned heads” at the Ritz-Carlton’s bar and “sauntered” down Central Park West.

One of those turned heads was Ghorbani’s.

Sources tell Page Six the pair’s torrid affair resulted in the birth of a baby girl seven months ago, and a DNA test has confirmed Gallagher is the dad.

Gallagher, who is married to singer Nicole Appleton, has not commented publicly on the child’s paternity; but as Page Six reported exclusively yesterday, he has been sued by the miffed new mom in Manhattan Family Court for $3 million.

“Liam admitted the child is his in an e-mail, saying she is a beautiful child because she has ‘rock star genes’” according to a source.

“Liza met Liam when she interviewed him for the Times and they began an affair. It continued until around three months after the birth of the child. He ended the relationship when she told him she was suing him for child support,” the source said.

“Liza isn’t after millions of dollars, she is simply seeking child support and no amount has yet been set. If they don’t settle on a figure, the case will go to a public trial, like the one recently between Linda Evangelista and Francois-Henri Pinault”

Ghorbani, who specializes in interviewing stars and has written for Elle, The Wall Street Journal, InStyle, wrote in her 2010 New York Times piece about the rocker, “Gallagher looked as if he’d just stepped off Carnaby Street in London circa 1969.”

Gallagher, 40, now frontman for the band Beady Eye, has been married to Canadian singer and actress Appleton since 2008. He already has three children.

In 2008, Gallagher – who says he is expanding his clothing line to boy’s wear because of his sons – boasted he is a ‘top dad’ who has turned his back on a rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle to be there for his family. He told The UK Times, “I’m top,” at being a dad, adding that he and his kids “have a lot of fun.”

He continued he didn’t intend to become a father, but, “once you get your missus pregnant, you’ve got to step up to the plate,” and “family’s the most important thing.”

Manhattan divorce attorneys Raoul Felder, representing Gallagher, and Bill Beslow, for Ghorbani, both declined to comment last night.
