Khloe Kardashian has filed court documents to divorce Lamar Odom and restore her famous last name.
Khloe filed divorce documents on Friday to end her four year marriage to Lamar, who has been going through a difficult period experimenting with drugs.
Khloe has hired top LA divorce attorney Laura Wasser, who previously represented her sister Kim Kardashian in her divorce from Kris Humphries.
According to TMZ, the Khloe cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason to end their marriage.
The reality star, who has a reportedly iron-clad prenup with Odom and became Khloe Kardashian Odom after their marriage, is petitioning the judge to drop Odom from her name, but is not asking for any spousal support.
On Thursday, Khloe, 29, posted a self-empowering message on Instagram which reads, “I am strong because I’ve been weak. I am fearless because I’ve been afraid. I am wise because I’ve been foolish.”
Khloe has battled to save her marriage following accusations of infidelity and drug and alcohol abuse, including crack use. The NBA star – who is being considered by the LA Clippers – reportedly refused Khloe’s demands to go in to rehab. She hasn’t been seen wearing her huge engagement ring since last month.
Odom also reportedly pleaded no contest to DUI charges this week stemming from his August 30 arrest. He was sentenced to three years probation in a Los Angeles Court.
