Despite recent rumors of an engagement, Katy Perry and John Mayer have abruptly called it quits, according to reports.
A source told E! News that the singing pair broke up in the past few days.
Perry showed up solo to recent appearances in London and Milan, then returned home to LA on Friday. She’d worn a diamond ring to the Elle Style Awards in the UK, sparking rumors that she and Mayer had gotten engaged.
Perry was also seen playing DJ with Lorde at a London Soho House party after the Brit Awards for a group of guests including Boy George. But she was then booed by a crowd in Milan when she delayed a Moschino runway presentation for nearly an hour.
Perry and Mayer have been dating since 2012. They had split once before during the relationship.
