Artist Jeff Koons has to wait outside DuJour party

Even the world’s most soughtafter artists sometimes have to wait on line to get into Art Basel’s hottest parties.

Jeff Koons, whose Balloon Dog sculpture was sold for a record-breaking $58.4 million at Christie’s last month, waited patiently for about 15 minutes outside the iconic Delano hotel for entry into Jason Binn’s DuJour Magazine party.

A witness told us, “Jeff waited quietly until he was eventually spotted and escorted into the party. He didn’t make a fuss.”

Others making a grander entrance into the packed poolside bash included Roberto Cavalli, Val Kilmer, Lionel Richie, Bruce Weber, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian and Jonathan Cheban.
