Outgoing mayor Michael Bloomberg looked dour while ungracious remarks were made about him by speakers at Bill de Blasio’s inauguration Wednesday.
But Bloomberg was in the mood for a different kind of drama hours later.
Spies said Bloomberg was in the audience that night for Julie Taymor’s new production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at the Polonsky Shakespeare Center, which houses the Theatre for a New Audience in Fort Greene.
We’re told Bloomberg and longtime gal pal Diana Taylor slipped into the theater quietly, then stayed afterward to head backstage and meet the cast.
Bloomberg had been at the theater days earlier for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at the venue.
