Skinny turnout at Ralph Lauren protest

Filmmaker Darryl Roberts is none too pleased with Ralph Lauren. Roberts — whose “America the Beautiful” chronicles the country’s unhealthy obsession with being skinny — organized a demonstration outside a Polo store on Michigan Avenue in Chicago yesterday to protest the label’s use of waifish models in ad campaigns. (One ad featuring Fillipa Hamilton was later found to be Photoshopped.) Still, he’s got his work cut out for him: A store manager said only four people were outside protesting. A Polo rep didn’t get back to us.
