‘Osama’ helmer rips Harvey

“Super Size Me” filmmaker Morgan Spurlock is nursing a super-size grudge against Harvey Weinstein. At a recent dinner party hosted by the Atlantic’s dashing blond president, Justin Smith, Spurlock (who was there ostensibly to promote his upcoming “Freakonomics”) launched into an attack on Weinstein, accusing the studio chief of “burying” the 2008 Weinstein Co.-distributed flop, “Where in the World Is Osama bin Laden?” Spurlock said Weinstein booked it only on a few screens and so starved it of marketing dollars that Spurlock’s own friends didn’t realize he had released the movie, which Post critic Lou Lumenick called “narcissistic” and others called “infantile,” “juvenile” and “self-absorbed.” When The Post’s Kyle Smith asked Spurlock why Weinstein would sabotage his own film, Spurlock sputtered, “I just think it tested so high . . . why would he buy a clothing company?” The Weinstein Co. fired back that the film didn’t work, didn’t test well and needed a different title. An insider said, “Spurlock can’t believe he made a [bleep] movie.”
