“Gossip Girl” star Ed Westwick had an eventful Sunday night in New York, with copious tequila shots followed by some rowdy behavior — including a shoving match outside a Chelsea bar.

Westwick, in a purple T-shirt and tight jeans, started his evening at 11:30 at Zinc Bar on West Third Street, where he and three pals threw back shots of tequila, spies told Page Six.

When a blond fan approached the crew, Westwick, who plays bad boy Chuck Bass on the CW show, snapped “Get out of here!” His friend then ushered her out of the way, one source said, adding, “They all started laughing. It was really mean.”

While his “Gossip Girl” co-stars Blake Lively and ex-girlfriend Jessica Szohr were working the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards in LA, Westwick and his rowdy crew moved on to Westside Tavern on West 23rd Street at 1:30 a.m., where another spy claims Westwick was in an angry mood.

“He unplugged the bar’s iPod without asking, plugged in his own, but didn’t press play,” the witness said. “We yelled to turn the music on. He screamed back, ‘Who the [bleep] are you?’ We told him to chill, and he said ‘No, no, no. Who the [bleep] are you?’ ”

Westwick is said to have further insulted a brunette who asked him to leave. But the woman’s husband wasn’t amused, and barked at the sloppy star, “What the [bleep] did you just say?”

The beefy fellow told Westwick to meet him outside, where they shoved each other in the street while Westwick’s friends stood nearby. Our spy told us, “They were shoving each other. No punches were thrown. My friend’s husband pushed them a little bit and then they just took off.”

Westwick’s rep denied any wrongdoing.
