Patrons at Turnmill Bar on East 27th Street thought it was a reunion for “The Sopranos” when former series cast members Tony Sirico (a k a Paulie Walnuts), Anabella Sciorra, Michael Rispoli and more of the show’s regulars arrived Thursday night.
But the gathering was actually a wrap party for producer Michael Mailer’s latest indie feature, “Friends and Romans,” about a “middle-aged, Italian-American fruit-truck driver” whose “passion is playing extras in mob movies,” Mailer explained.
To showcase his true talents, the thespian wannabe launches a production of “Julius Caesar” staffed with his pals.
The film by Chris Kublan also stars at least five more familiar “Sopranos” faces.
