Anna Wintour has seen Tom Ford nude. The designer revealed that detail during a speech at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards Monday, saying he once ran into the Vogue editor on a nude beach in St. Barts. He was in his birthday suit, she was not. “It was like one of those dreams in high school when everyone has clothes on except you,” he recalled. Ford also gave advice to young designers at the event, including to never sell your name — and if an investor says they have a wife or daughter who “just loves fashion . . . run!” Afterward, Vogue’s LA editor Lisa Love, Rodarte designers Laura and Kate Mulleavy, Bee Shaffer and others hit Andre Balazs’ new Café Standard at The Standard, East Village to toast one of the night’s runners-up, Juan Carlos Obando, who took home $100,000. Public School’s Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne were awarded top prizes of $300,000.
