Michael Stipe has relocated to Berlin, sources say.
The former R.E.M. lead singer has been spotted at various events during the Berlin Film Festival, including a performance by cult director John Waters of his one-man show “This Filthy World” on Sunday. Stipe and his partner, Thomas Dozol, listed their Canal Street penthouse in 2012 for $10.95 million, and the retired rocker said he was looking for a New York studio space to work from instead.
But spies say the couple has headed to Berlin.
