Jack Kent Cooke’s ex-wife ready to tell all about his other ex

Suzanne Kent Cooke — the third ex-wife of the late Washington Redskins owner Jack Kent Cooke — needs a ghost writer.

She’s been doing research and collecting court documents on her successor, Marlene Ramallo Chalmers, the Bolivian beauty who wed Cooke twice before she was deported from the U.S. as a drug trafficker.

Suzanne, who was married to Jack for a year in 1987 and bore him a daughter, is working on a biography she has titled “Cochabamba,” after the Bolivian city where Marlene grew up, and where Che Guevara was revolting before he was gunned down by the CIA.

Marlene is most famous for her 1993 drunk driving arrest, after she was seen careening through Georgetown with a young man clinging to the hood of her Jaguar convertible and pounding on the windshield. When a cop suggested she take off her high-heels for a sobriety test, the minx in a minidress threw a gold pump and hit the officer in the face. “It’s an unbelievable story of a woman who grew up on the streets of Cochabamba, and ingratiated herself into the highest levels of society in Washington D.C.,” Suzanne told me.

To delay being deported after three months in jail for a 1986 arrest for cocaine trafficking, Marlene worked with the CIA and the Drug Enforcement Agency. “She put 30 members of drug cartels behind bars,” Suzanne said. Marlene retired to the Bahamas with the $20 million she won in court from Jack Kent Cooke’s estate. But she was allowed to visit Miami last March for the wedding of her son Rodrigo Garcia to Erika Gutierrez, the daughter of Carlos Gutierrez, the Commerce Secretary under George W. Bush.

Suzanne said Carlos — the new head of the Republicans for Immigration Reform Super PAC — kept the wedding low-key because of the mother of the groom’s colorful past.
