Rod Stewart’s daughter gives birth to baby girl, Benicio del Toro the father

LOS ANGELES — Actress and model Kimberly Stewart, the daughter of rocker Rod Stewart, gave birth to her own baby girl Sunday, Us magazine reported.

The child, fathered by Oscar-winning actor Benicio del Toro, weighed in at eight pounds nine ounces (3.9 kilograms) and was measured at 22 inches (55.9 centimeters).

Kimberly Stewart delivered her as-yet-unnamed daughter in a Los Angeles hospital Sunday, on the day of her 32nd birthday.

Her father and mother, Rod Stewart and first wife Alana Collins, were present at the hospital, along with his current wife Penny Lancaster-Stewart.

The baby is the Scottish singer’s first grandchild. Lancaster-Stewart gave birth to the 66 year old’s eighth child in February.

A representative for del Toro confirmed in April that Kimberly Stewart was pregnant by the actor.

Though first-time parents Kimberly Stewart and del Toro, 44, are not a couple, a rep for the “Traffic” and “Sin City” star said he was “very supportive” with both “looking forward to the arrival of the baby.”
