Kim Kardashian wed basketball star Kris Humphries in a lavish ceremony Saturday night, but the party was shut down early after stuffy neighbors called the cops complaining about the noise.

The curvy star, wearing Vera Wang, wed the New Jersey Nets star and current free agent Humphries in a huge tent set out on a sprawling Montecito estate. But following the speeches, dinner, live performances and first dance, the music, spun by DJ Cassidy, was shut down by authorities at midnight after complaints from local residents.

A source told us, “Around midnight DJ Cassidy, who had been spinning for an hour, was ordered to shut down because the neighbors were complaining about the volume of the music. The neighbors didn’t come over, but they called the police. Kim took the news OK and seemed relaxed about it, but her sister Khloe was pretty upset and making a bit of a scene. She kept talking to the wedding planner to see if there was anything they could do, but there wasn’t. But the party kept going anyway and most people stayed until about 2 a.m. Despite the early end to the dancing, everyone had a great time, and Kim looked beautiful and very happy.”

The newlyweds had been serenaded by Robin Thicke and Earth, Wind & Fire earlier in the night. Thicke introduced the couple as “Mr. and Mrs. Humphries” into the tent, and performed “Angel” as they took to the floor for their first dance. He also sang Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” and his hit “Lost Without You.”

Following speeches from Kris and Bruce Jenner, Humphries, Khloe and Kourtney, Earth, Wind & Fire played five songs including “September,” “Let’s Groove,” “Sing a Song” and “Shining Star.” There was no appearance by Stevie Wonder. Then DJ Cassidy took to the stage and opened with the Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling,” and everyone hit the dance floor.

Guests at the bash included Eva Longoria, Lindsay Lohan, Carmelo and La La Anthony, Avril Lavigne, Serena Williams, George Lopez, Jonathan Cheban and Ryan Seacrest, who tweeted, “Beautiful . . . kim looked regal, a perfect night.”
