Porky chef Mario Batali insisted on showing waiters at the Diamond Horseshoe how to carve a pig this week.
The swanky new club in the Paramount Hotel that’s home to Randy Weiner’s show “Queen of the Night” serves whole hogs as part of the bacchanal.
“When a suckling pig on a spit was delivered to his table, Eataly entrepreneur Batali stopped the waiter from carving, and asked if he could do it instead,” a spy said.
The staffer handed his blade to jolly Fanta Pants, who “proceeded to carve the pig for the large party dining with him.”
Our source added, “When he needed a better angle, Batali lifted up the pig on the spit, putting one handle in his mouth and the other on the table so he could work with both hands. Audience members gathered and cheered as he expertly carved.”
But that wasn’t enough entertainment from the celebrity chef — later, Batali was brought onstage during a “Queen of the Night” resident “hoop act” and was jumped over by a performer.
