Dennis Quaid’s wife files for divorce amid reports he stole another man’s date

Dennis Quaid’s wife has filed for divorce from the actor, shortly after tennis pro Sascha Bajin alleged that Quaid had stolen his date at a party and taken the woman back to his hotel.

According to TMZ, real estate agent Kimberly Buffington-Quaid has filed divorce paperwork which states, “The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities … that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”

Buffington-Quaid is seeking spousal support and legal fees in the split, and is asking that the pair’s common assets be divided — a stipulation Quaid’s paperwork opposes. While Buffington-Quaid is currently living in the couple’s home, Quaid has been relegated to a condo. The two are sharing custody of their three children.

The couple’s split comes a month after Bajin took to Twitter, recounting what he called getting “Quaided.” The tennis star told his followers on the micro-blogging site that he had brought a date to to a party thrown by fellow tennis celebrity Serena Williams at her home in Los Angeles. Bajin claims that Quaid and his date hit it off, leaving him out in the cold.

“I simply got Quaided,” wrote Bajin. “Lol! He stole my date and made me drive him and her to his hotel … This chick has the nerve to get out and stay with him … Hahaha!!! All of that on Valentine’s Morning! Nice one, right?”

A rep for Quaid denied Bajin’s claim, saying that it “sounds like someone’s imagination is getting away from them.” Quaid’s rep had furthered that the star was still married.

This was the third marriage for Dennis Quaid, who famously split from wife Meg Ryan in 2002 after she became involved with “Proof of Life” co-star Russell Crowe. After their split, Ryan had alleged that Quaid was not faithful to her during their 10 year marriage.
