Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi did a different kind of partying this weekend, trading in the kamikaze shots and fist pumping at the “Jersey Shore” for sheet cake and balloons at her soon-to-be in-laws’ house in East Rutherford.
Radar Online reports that the parents of Snooki’s fiance, Jionni Lavalle, threw a party on Saturday at their home in New Jersey to celebrate the couple’s engagement and their public announcement that they are expecting their first child.

Snooki was spotted arriving at the party on Saturday, opening the door of the home herself when no one answered the doorbell, perhaps because the party was a surprise. Snooki wore a mauve mini-dress along with a zebra print coat. The pint-sized reality TV star also sported red streaks in her dark hair and oversized earrings.
Her best friend, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, with whom Snooki is currently shooting a “Jersey Shore” spinoff, also attended the party. She was seen approaching the white brick house with boyfriend Roger Matthews. The two carried a box that appeared to hold a cake.
While the party was held at the LaValle’s house, Snooki’s parents were also in attendance. Andy and Helen Polizzi were photographed knocking on the door of the home carrying “Congratulations” balloons as well as a bouquet of flowers. Helen Polizzi sported a leopard print coat — a move that displayed where Snooki got her sense of style.
While Snooki’s parents appeared happy to enter the fete, the star revealed that her dad was not pleased when she first told him she was pregnant.
“My dad was upset,” Snooki told Us Weekly, as she finally confirmed that she was in fact pregnant. “He said, ‘You have your whole life ahead of you.’ We didn’t talk for a week.”
Polizzi and LaValle are waiting until after their baby arrives to make wedding plans.
