Kim Kardashian has fired back at Jon Hamm, after the actor called her a “[bleeping] idiot.”
Hamm unleashed his disgust with Kardashian in the April issue of ELLE UK, saying, “Whether it’s Kim Kardashian or Paris Hilton or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated. Being a [bleeping] idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you’re rewarded significantly.”
Hamm furthered that the prominence of reality TV stars just “doesn’t make any sense” to him.
While reports of Hamm’s quotes circulated over the weekend, it took Kardashian a few days to respond. The much-maligned brunette ultimately took to Twitter this afternoon to defend herself.
“I just heard about the comment Jon Hamm made about me in an interview,” she wrote. “I respect Jon and I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone takes the same path in life. We’re all working hard and we all have to respect one another. Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, ‘stupid,’ is in my opinion careless.”
And now it’s Hamm’s turn to fire back, though we imagine he’ll be too busy promoting the upcoming premiere of “Mad Men,” and his new movie, “Friend with Kids,” in which he stars with longtime girlfriend Jennifer Westfeldt.
