Michael Douglas is denying a new report that claims he and wife Catherine Zeta-Jones have split.

The National Enquirer blared on their cover this week, “Michael Douglas & Catherine Zeta-Jones SPLIT” in a so-called hush-hush trial separation.

According to the tabloid’s “sources,” the “shattered” actress is “desperate” to save her 12-year marriage after her husband moves out following his battle with cancer and her struggle with bipolar disorder.

But Douglas’ rep told Page Six today that the story is “not true.”

The “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” star recently talked about about his Welsh wife, with whom he has two children – Dylan and Carys.

He told People magazine: “Catherine and I are doing well. She is more beautiful than ever inside and out. I support her with everything and she is simply the best.’

He and Catherine were seen together on January 31 at the New York premiere of her film “Side Effects,” where they walked the red carpet hand in hand.
