Will Ferrell is the latest celeb to weigh in on LA’s mayoral race. The comic has followed in the footsteps of Jimmy Kimmel and Salma Hayek to endorse Eric Garcetti, reports The Post’s Richard Johnson. “You’re probably thinking, who cares what some strikingly handsome actor thinks,” Ferrell says in a funny video praising the Democrat. “I want a city that is vibrant and healthy for my three sons and my four illegitimate children to grow up in.” Garcetti’s most formidable opponent, City Controller Wendy Greuel, is supported by Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen, as well as Tom Hanks, Zooey Deschanel, Eva Longoria and Chelsea Handler. Meanwhile, Kevin James (not the actor, but the only Republican among eight candidates vying to succeed Antonio Villaraigosa) has the support of Adam Corolla, screenwriter Dustin Lance Black and “Desperate Housewives” creator Marc Cherry. A former federal prosecutor, James is openly gay. The top two vote-getters in a March 5 primary face off in the May 21 election.
