Will Smith’s ex blasts Alexis Arquette: I didn’t find Will in bed with a man

Will Smith’s first wife wants everyone to know that Alexis Arquette’s claims that he is gay are all nonsense.

“Alexis Arquette, let’s just be clear: I don’t know you and you don’t know me,” Sheree Fletcher said in a video released on Thursday. “So for you to claim you have firsthand knowledge information as to why my marriage didn’t work out is completely out of line.”

The video, which is titled “Just setting the record STRAIGHT” and was posted to Facebook, outlines all of the many issues Fletcher has with Arquette’s allegations.

“Not only is it out of line, it’s absolutely not true,” she said. “And I’m offended and I’m hurt that someone would be so malicious and reckless and destructive and use a lie and an untruth to prove a point.”

Earlier this week, Arquette — sister of Rosanna, Patricia and David — wrote that she would ignore Will and second wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s call to boycott the Oscars until the couple fessed up and admitted they are both gay. In the since-deleted Facebook message, she also stated that Fletcher had walked in on Smith with another man and that was why their relationship ended, a fact that she was paid to keep quiet about.

“My marriage ended not over any infidelity — I didn’t find Will in bed with a man, I didn’t find him in bed with a woman — it just didn’t happen. Will was straight in 1992 and he’s straight in 2016,” she states with certainty.

According to Fletcher, the marriage — which lasted from 1992 to 1995 — instead ended because of the couple’s inability to deal with all the major life changes they were going through, and if there had been a more sordid explanation, it’d be out there.

“I left because I was unhappy. I’ve never had a gag order,” she said. “I’ve never been paid to be silent. I know Will has a lot of money, but Will does not have enough money to take my voice away from me — to deprive me of my story. That wouldn’t happen.”

Fletcher called on Arquette to think before she spoke next time, as her claims not only affected Fletcher and Smith, but their son, 23-year-old Trey, as well.

“In the future, please, just be more careful with the things you say,” she said. “Check your facts — try to actually have some facts — before you start putting untruths out there that can really damage people and damage family.”
