Ivanka Trump puts family before business.
“I take crazy 3 a.m. flights to ensure that I’m always there for breakfast and dinner,” she says in the Spring/Summer 2016 issue of Editorialist Magazine of how she balances motherhood and her career.
But the mom of two — who has a third child on the way — is not actually a fan of the word “balance.”
“For me, it’s more about priorities. Rather than try and be there for everything, I’ve figured out which are the most meaningful interactions of the day and ensure I have those,” said the daughter of Donald Trump. “With my son, it’s sitting on the floor playing with his cars. With my daughter, we bond reading books.”
She added, “But you’re one kid’s flu away from balance going out the window, no matter how fine-tuned you think your schedule is.”
Trump, 34, and husband Jared Kushner, 35, are parents to 4-year-old Arabella and 2-year-old Joseph and are expecting their third this spring.
