Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are Hollywood’s newest couple, and were seen cozying up over dinner at the posh Sunset Tower Hotel on Wednesday.
The singer and the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star were cuddling at the hotel’s starry Tower Bar. They shared a celebratory dinner with a group that included Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka, for producer Aleen Keshishian’s birthday.
One onlooker told us, “Orlando and Katy had that new-relationship glow about them. They were cuddling and flirting with each other all night.” Another spy remarked of Bloom’s boyish charm, “He looks like an old baby.”
Other sources say Perry and Bloom have been seeing each other since last month’s Golden Globes. One spy at the Weinstein Co. and Netflix afterparty said, “Katy and Orlando were standing in the back of the party and were aggressively flirting before leaving together. He wouldn’t stop staring at her and she laid on the charm.”
Perry and Bloom were also seen together at CAA agent Michael Kives’ birthday party at a private home in LA on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Perry and Aniston narrowly missed an awkward run-in with their mutual ex, John Mayer, who also arrived at the Sunset Tower Hotel later that night.
But, according to the witness, “Perhaps John knew there was a table full of his ex-girlfriends in the restaurant, because he didn’t go into the Tower Bar and instead went directly into the hotel elevator.”
Aniston — now happily married to Justin Theroux — dated the musician for a year until 2009. Mayer and Perry broke up in 2014 after dating on and off for two years.
Meanwhile, Bloom has been linked to several women since he split from Miranda Kerr in 2013 after three years of marriage. He has denied rumors he was dating Selena Gomez as well as his friend Erica Packer. Reps for Perry and Bloom didn’t get back to us.
