Madonna and Guy Ritchie won’t show for custody battle hearing

A Manhattan judge has summoned Madonna and her ex-husband Guy Ritchie to court Wednesday for a hearing in their child-custody battle over their 15-year-old son, Rocco — but the famous former couple is refusing to show up because of all the publicity surrounding their fight, according to sources.

“They want to settle the matter privately,” a source close to the case told The Post.

“Nobody’s going to be there,” the source said, adding, “Madonna’s in Asia, and Guy’s in England.”

Manhattan Supreme Court spokesman Lucian Chalfen said all parties are scheduled to appear before Justice Deborah Kaplan at the lower Manhattan courthouse at 2:30 p.m. March 2.

Madonna had a sold-out show in Singapore on Sunday — but the next date for her Rebel Heart tour isn’t until March 5 in New Zealand.

Ritchie lives in London. His lawyer, Peter Bronstein, declined to comment.

Kaplan set the hearing date after Rocco rebuffed her Dec. 23, 2015, order to spend the winter holidays with his mom at her Manhattan townhouse. The teen was sick of touring with his pop-star parent and had been living with his filmmaker dad, sources said.

The teen is now happily attending school in London, where he wants to stay, the source said.

In court last year, another Ritchie lawyer, Eric Buckley, said Rocco “has expressed very clearly that he does not want to return to New York.”

Madonna’s lawyer, Eleanor Alter, did not return a message seeking comment.
