Joy Behar has signed a lucrative new three-year deal with “The View,” multiple sources tell Page Six.
Behar has signed a new long-term deal after returning to the show last year.
Behar was co-host from 1997 through 2013, when she left, saying, “There are other things on my plate I want to do — I’ve been writing a play, I’ve been neglecting my stand-up.”
But she returned to the ABC daytime show last year as a co-host as part of a massive overhaul of the cast.
Now sources tell us, “Nobody is sure if Whoopi [Goldberg] will stay on as a host when her contract expires at the end of the season, so Joy has been signed to a long-term contract.”
A rep for “The View” didn’t comment.
