Michael Keaton is the latest Hollywood star to endorse Bernie Sanders.
The “Spotlight” star and Oscar nominee spoke about Sanders on the red carpet at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Friday.
Keaton talked about how “Spotlight,” a film about journalists investigating a coverup of sexual abuse in the Catholic Church, has an important message to fight injustice.
“Raise your kids to care about issues, make them be active, make them vote, make them care about things, be aware of news and read the true journalism, do a little extra work,” Keaton urged.
“That’s what Bernie Sanders is saying, he’s just talking about the truth.”
