Julianne Hough is looking forward to her first dance as a married woman.
The “Dancing With the Stars” beauty announced her engagement to Canadian-born hockey player Brooks Laich via Instagram Tuesday.
“We are overwhelmed with joy and excitement to share with you our recent engagement,” Hough wrote alongside a photo of herself in a full-body hug with her hunky husband-to-be.
Hough, 27, and the Washington Capitals player, 31, started dating in early 2014 after being introduced by a mutual friend.
Hough was previously in a nearly three-year relationship with Ryan Seacrest, although their romance dissolved in March 2013.
“I had one foot out because I didn’t want to get hurt,” the pro dancer told Redbook magazine last year of her time with the “American Idol” host. “And I didn’t say what was on my mind because I didn’t want to ruffle any feathers. I needed to be perfect.”
