Louboutin stiletto gets stuck in Condé Nast escalator

Condé Nast’s shiny escalators ground to a halt when a Christian Louboutin stiletto got stuck in the grate.

One editor must have been walking around like “the Cinderella of fashion” Thursday when her black Louboutin shoe wedged in the escalator at the company’s 1 WTC headquarters.

Photos of the abandoned, lone, red-soled heel surfaced on Instagram feeds of Condé’s director of talent acquisition Katie Turrel and glamour.com writer Leah Melby Clinton.

Condé staffers snickered, reposting the photos with captions including #loubigate, “red bottom down” and “should have worn Birkenstocks?”

A Condé rep told us, “We’re doing everything we can to save the shoe.”
