He would have had a lot of “mean tweets” to choose from.

Controversial rapper Kanye West was billed to appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Friday from SXSW, but was a no-show.

Sources said the plan was for West to appear in the show’s signature “mean tweets” segment as well as a sketch poking fun at his infamous interruptions. A set was even built in Kanye’s honor, said a spy. But Kimmel joked, “If you do not like Kanye West, make sure to tune in Friday night to not see him.”

West’s rep said, “We were never confirmed . . . We took extraordinary steps and worked directly with the show to make it happen. Logistics were insurmountable.”

A show rep said, “We look forward to having Kanye West back on the show.”
