Derek Jeter buys lake house in tony upstate enclave

Retired Yankee Derek Jeter has bought a lake house four hours outside the city in the tony upstate (and hard-to-pronounce) enclave of Skaneateles, sources tell Page Six.

“Everyone in the community is buzzing about it,” a local told us. “It happened a couple of months ago.” But “everyone has been trying to figure out which house is his.”

A broker refused to comment, telling us, “This is a very private community,” while another dismissively sniffed, “It’s been a rumor for years.”

Jeter’s rep didn’t respond to requests for comment.

Bill and Hillary Clinton and Stephen Baldwin have been known to spend time in the town.

Jeter was also upstate last week to speak at Hamilton College.
