“Karate Kid” star Ralph Macchio says he’s conquered his fear of being forever remembered for the franchise.
Macchio, 53, who is working on an animated film with Mira Sorvino, says of being approached by “Karate Kid” fans, “Maybe 10 years ago I frowned on it, now I just embrace it. It’s awesome.”
But he still has odd fan encounters: “A pregnant woman walked up to me and said, ‘This could have been yours.’ And her husband just sort of shuffled away. I was like, ‘OK, but I could probably be your uncle.”
