TOP New York toques turned out for a dinner thrown by French culinary organization Le Fooding at Vinegar Hill House in Brooklyn’s DUMBO the other night — including Momofuku’s David Chang (who spent the eve ning wearing a giant hat made by a balloon artist), Daniel Boulud and Minetta Tavern’s Riad Nasr. The foodies, hosted by Veuve Clicquot, dined on beef cheeks and trout. French talents Step hane Jego, of L’Ami Jean, and Yves Camdeborde, of Le Com ptoir du Relais, were overheard telling guests they were “im pressed” at the quality of ingredi ents used stateside. Everybody ended up playing pétanque in the back garden until 1 a.m.
