Courtney Love battles city’s smoking laws

Now that Graydon Carter has stopped violating New York’s draconian anti-smoking laws, Courtney Love (above)has emerged as the brave leader of the resistance movement. One night during Fashion Week, the rock widow was seen smoking in the lobby of the Bryant Park Hotel. On Thursday night, she lit up in the Royalton lobby after attending the Whitewall magazine party where David LaChapelle was feted as gender-bender Amanda Lepore and Lady Fag danced half-naked near the deejay booth. Love took her cigarette into an elevator to join the other revelers at the after-party in the penthouse.
