“The Daily Show” executive producer Josh Lieb has a curious tick for someone whose first novel, the very funny “I Am a Genius of Unspeakable Evil and I Want to Be Your Class President,” is geared towards young adults. “I actually hate the sound of children laughing,” he said at a book lunch at Gramercy Tavern. “They’ll laugh at anything. Oftentimes we have a tendency to put a glossy hue on children’s behavior, when in fact they can be little monsters.” Lieb is penning a script for the screen adaptation of “Unspeakable Evil,” to be produced by “Terminator Salvation” director McG.
