Hedge-fund wife Lisa Falcone says her husband, Philip, asked her to think first before writing more checks after she decided on a whim to donate $10 million to the High Line. Lisa famously interrupted a speech by Friends of the High Line co-founder Joshua David in June to say she’d match the contribution by media mogul Barry Diller and wife Diane von Furstenberg. At a Shop for Public Schools event at Dior’s flagship the other night hosted by Wendi Murdoch and Caroline Kennedy, Lisa told Page Six, “My husband was a little unhappy because I made such a quick decision, and he said I should carefully consider the charity before writing a check.” But she added, “We are both proud to support the High Line.” At the Dior event, one lady paid $25,000 for a coat. No word if it was another of Lisa’s whims.
