It looks like the Twitter boys will win 2009 Media Person of the Year. At a media panel discussion at NYU this summer, both Gawker boss Nick Denton and celebrity editrix Bonnie Fuller said Twitter creators Jack Dorsey, Biz Stone and Evan Williams would get their votes. The eighth annual online poll by IWantMedia.com opens Monday with contenders also in cluding sex-scandalized David Letter man, new Fox News star Glenn Beck, future presidential candidate Lou Dobbs, prime-time pauper Jay Leno, Conde Nastie Si Newhouse, AOL-er Tim Armstrong, and media queen Oprah Winfrey. Past winners have included Arianna Huffington (2008), Hollywood’s striking writers (2007), Stephen Colbert (2006), Anderson Cooper (2005), Jon Stewart (2004), Fuller herself (2003), and Martha Stewart (2002).
