His entire family will be on hand when Yankee hero Derek Jeter accepts the prestigious Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year Award tonight. The slugger’s proud dad, Dr. Charles Jeter, will do the honors and introduce his son at the award presentation at the IAC building. Previous winners have included Cal Ripken Jr., Tiger Woods, Lance Armstrong, Tom Brady and Michael Phelps.
