Kim Kardashian, Demi Moore in Twitter war

Demi Moore and Kim Kardashian were embroiled in a bout of online jibing, The Sun reported Monday.

The pair’s feud, played out on Twitter, was sparked when Kim posted a picture of herself and celebrity pals Serena Williams, Dj La La Vazquez and Kelly Rowland at a charity party in Miami under the caption “Big Pimpin” — the title of a Jay-Z song.

Demi took offense, asking her, “Are you using the word ‘pimpin’ as in pimping?”

Kim swiftly replied, saying, “Doesn’t everyone? LOL,” before Demi traded another snipe, “No disrespect I love a girls night out but a pimp and pimping is nothing more than a slave owner!”

One of Demi’s followers attempted to temper the feud, saying: “She may have meant it in the ‘NEW AGE LINGO’ – as in ‘pimpin’ = Cool?”

But the “Striptease” actress remained unperturbed: “Yeah but a pimp is nothing more than a slave owner! If we want to end slavery we need to stop glorifying the ‘pimp’ culture.”

However, after more convincing from her followers, Demi appeared to calm down, Tweeting: “Just so ya’ll are clear I like @KimKardashian I was just making a point about how we have used a word and desensitized the real meaning.’

“Clearly I stirred up a s— storm, but 2 create change U have 2 be willing 2 take a risk and be willing 2 provoke thought & conversation.’

“Nothing wrong with dancing to Big Pimpin’ by Jay Z in the club. Having a girls night out, gotta love that song!”

Not that Kim seemed bothered, ending their conversation: “Good point! I agree! It was just a song not literal.”
