Alexa Ray Joel gave an impromptu concert at the Polar Lounge in the Marcel Hotel on East 24th the other night, her vocal cords still warmed up after a recording session for her new album. She came to the bar with a large group that included her producer and band members and sang along to music loud enough to gather cheers from onlookers. Joel is working on a new album due to drop June 10, right after the launch of her new Prell ad campaign.
