‘Housewives’ premiere delayed due to Armstrong suicide

In the wake of the suicide of Russell Armstrong, Bravo has reportedly decided to push back the premiere of the second season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”

A source close to the show told The Hollywood Reporter that the Sept. 5 season premiere will be delayed at least one week, and possibly even longer.

“People are concerned about being associated with the show and his passing,” the source said.

It is uncertain how many episodes Russell was featured in, but the source stated that there will likely be some re-editing done. An early copy of the show sent to critics does not feature Russell, though his wife Taylor Armstrong is shown discussing whether or not to attend marriage counseling.

A Bravo spokesperson tells us, “That story is inaccurate, no decisions have been made.”

The first season of the show gave Bravo some of its highest ratings ever for the franchise.

Russell was found hanged in his bedroom Monday evening.
