Jill Zarin may not be joining “The Real Housewives of New York City” next season, but not by choice. Sources close to the Bravo reality show say Zarin’s hard campaigning to prove her popularity among viewers has soured her chances of being asked back by producers. A source told Page Six: “Jill would re-sign tomorrow if she could. She has been pitching herself very aggressively to keep her on next season, because she’s terrified she’ll be phased out. She would love to have her own show like [former “Housewives” star] Bethenny Frankel, but she’s not getting it.” The fourth season of “Housewives” collected its highest ratings to date. While sources said none of the show’s stars has been notified by Bravo about returning, the network is also looking to add “two or three” new faces to the lineup. A rep for Zarin said the reality star is “focused on her shapewear brand Skweez Couture” and is “incredibly busy with other projects.” A Bravo rep declined to comment.
