Kim Kardashian’s wildly anticipated wedding today to NBA basketballer Kris Humphries will include a celebrity guest list, numerous dress changes and performances by Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind and Fire.
Kim’s lavish nuptials in Montecito will kick off at 6 p.m. California time, when she walks down the aisle in a custom-made dress by Vera Wang — who’s fashioned three dresses for the bride to choose from — custom-made Louboutin shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewels, including a tiara and hair jewelry for the after-party.
And while Kourtney Kardashian recently tweeted that the bridesmaids — all her sisters — would be wearing green, our sources tell us they’ll be decked out in ivory.
The wedding had been reported as taking place at the home of Google chairman Eric Schmidt, but in fact will be held at the residence of another Montecito magnate.
Guests expected to party the night away include Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lo
pez, Venus and Serena Williams and Kim’s close friend La La Anthony. The bash will be filmed by E! while Kim also has a $1 million magazine deal.
There will be no honeymoon — she’ll head straight to New York to film “Kourtney & Kim Take New York,” where the newlyweds will have a second wedding party. Event planner Colin Cowie and Niche Media founder Jason Binn will throw a celebration at Capitale on Aug. 31. The bash will have a color scheme of olive, black and white, and guests expected include current free agent Humphries’ Nets teammates.
The couple will make their first home together in the penthouse suite at the Gansevoort Park Avenue. They will also be showered with gifts from their wedding registry at Gearys Beverly Hills. As of last night, $66,138 worth of gifts had been purchased, including a $4,625 Ingrid black vase, a $1,100 Soudan black ashtray, both by Lalique, and a $750 sugar bowl.
