Christian Louboutin has a taste for Damascus, Syria. On a trip to buy fabrics for his shoes, the designer dined with his boyfriend, French architect Louis Benech, at historic restaurant Naranj in the old city. Louboutin has a pied-a-terre in Aleppo to the north. The shoe guru, in a navy blue blazer with red piping, was in good spirits when a bodacious Syrian blonde interrupted his dinner for a picture. “I bet you didn’t think anyone would recognize you here,” she said. “Absolutely not,” said Louboutin. She proceeded to hop in his lap for a photo op while Benech looked on laughing.
