Justin Bieber’s legal team dismisses report he fathered baby with fan as ‘false’

LOS ANGELES — Justin Bieber’s legal team Tuesday dismissed allegations he fathered a baby with a fan, after a 20-year-old California woman filed a lawsuit requesting the teen pop star take a paternity test.

The woman, Mariah Yeater, claims that she and Bieber, 17, had sex backstage at one of his concerts in Los Angeles when she was 19, according to a report in Star magazine.

Yeater wants Bieber — famed for his breakthrough song “Baby” and his squeaky-clean image — to take a paternity test, according to court papers obtained by the magazine, and she also wants him to “provide adequate support for my baby.”

A court hearing is set for later this year, Star reported.

But a representative for Bieber’s legal team told TMZ, “While we haven’t yet seen the lawsuit, it’s sad that someone would fabricate malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claims.”

The representative added, “We will vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to defend and protect Justin against these allegations.”

Canadian Bieber is currently dating 19-year-old pop star Selena Gomez.
