Kim Kardashian headed to LAX airport and jettted away to Australia last night, just hours after announcing to the world that she was ending her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries.
Kardashian was mobbed by reporters as she arrived at the airport, cameras focusing on her left hand, which was free of both her wedding and engagement ring. In video clips, reporters ask Kardashian “Any chance of working things out?” and “Spoken to Kris?” as she walks by.

Kardashian is headed to Australia to launch a handbag collection along with sister Khloe. While there, the two will appear on the popular Australian TV show “Sunrise” for Kardashian’s first live interview since the news of her divorce broke.
While Kardashian might not be wearing her engagement ring, experts think she might keep the $2 million rock. According to TMZ, under California law, once a couple exchanges vows, rights to demanding an engagement ring back are forfeited. Sources familiar with the couple’s pre-nup also tell the site that Kardashian and Humphries kept all their assets private and no money will change hands in the divorce.
While Kardashian was Australia-bound, several members of her family were on hand to support Rob Kardashian as he performed on “Dancing with the Stars.” After giving his best performance to date on the show, he spoke about the announcement of his sister’s divorce.
“My sister is obviously going through a lot and we’re obviously very supportive of whatever decision she makes,” he told People. “We’re just here as her family just to be with her and be on her side for whatever.”
Meanwhile, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian showed support for their sister on Twitter. Khloe tweeted, “Thank God for family. We are strong and we will only become closer! … Reading some these comments r so hurtful. Im grateful 4our fans who understand & r being respectful.”
Kourtney echoed the sentiment saying, “Our sister is going through a difficult time but we’re a close family and are sticking together like always. We appreciate everyone’s kindness and support. @KimKardashian, we love you.”
