Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart married?

The makers of “Twilight” were going for realism when they filmed “Breaking Dawn: Part 1,” even if it is a story about vampires. They asked a real priest to marry Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in the movie’s highly-anticipated wedding scene, rather than hire an actor.

“The wedding scene’s funny because we used a real priest,” Pattinson explained at a press conference. “So technically we are already married because he did all the things you would do in a normal ceremony. So we don’t have a civil union in law, but I guess in the church we are actually married.”

This admission is strange, as Pattinson and Stewart have yet to officially confirm in so many words that they are a real-life couple.

KRISTEN STEWART SAYS SHOOTING SEX SCENES “SURREAL”

This month, Stewart echoed Pattinson’s sentiment, telling British GQ that filming the wedding scene felt exceptionally real. “I was nervous for the wedding scene,” she said. “When I looked at the set, with the pews and the lights, and I could see everyone there in their outfits, I cried. It felt incredibly ceremonial. It felt like a real wedding.”

Stewart’s wedding dress in the movie is designed by Carolina Herrera and, according to Women’s Wear Daily, will be mass produced by Alfred Angelo for brides hoping to copy her character Bella Swan’s look.

“Breaking Dawn: Part 1” will be released in theaters Nov. 18.
