Judging from an excerpt of the new book from Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, Page Six is guessing that the character “Kassidy” is a stand-in for Kourtney Kardashian.
“Dollhouse” was released yesterday by Harper Collins and is a thinly-veiled work of fiction about three sisters — Kamille, Kassidy and Kyle — who are members of a high-profile family. The sisters authored the book together and the cover, naturally, features leopard print as well as the name “Kardashian” in large print.
The Web site Celebuzz has posted a short excerpt from the novel, in which sister Kassidy takes a pregnancy test.
“Kass pulled the instructions out of the box and read the tiny print once, twice, three times. She wanted to make sure to do this right. Pee on the stick? How was she supposed to pee on something so small? But, whatever. She pulled down her panties and positioned the stick. And started to pee. And stopped to inspect the stick. And started to pee again, stick in place. Was she doing this right?
… She checked her watch and started timing.
She glanced at her watch. Thirty seconds to go. Then twenty. Then ten…
Taking a deep breath, she looked at the white pee stick lying on the counter.”
Celebuzz tells readers that if they want to know whether Kassidy is pregnant, “you’ll only find out by reading ‘Dollhouse.'” But given the fact that Kourtney Kardashian has a son, Mason Disick, with long-time partner Scott Disick, it appears fairly obvious that she is.
The three Kardashian sisters also sat down for an interview with the Web site about the book before news broke of Kim’s split from Kris Humphries. In the interview, Kim confirms that the book does contain many juicy nuggets of truth about the sisters.
“I think the book is crazier than [‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’] because we talk about real-life stories that we were too embarrassed to talk about on the show,” Kim says. “We saw how well our first book did and it was a lot of fun sharing stories from our real lives. But we had so many fun stories that were too racy to tell. So we really wanted to write a novel that would keep people guessing what’s real and what’s not real.”
With Kim cancelling her promotional appearance through New Year’s Eve, Kourtney and Khloe will be promoting the book without their more famous sister.
