Ashton Kutcher gives poorly-timed relationship advice

No wonder Ashton Kutcher’s marriage to Demi Moore didn’t work out. When it comes to women, the “Two and a Half Men” star says he prefers curves to muscles and au naturel to makeup. Meanwhile, his soon-to-be ex wife is known for her thin, muscular body and her heavily made-up visage.

In a just-released interview in the December issue of Men’s Health magazine, Kutcher answers a slew of relationship questions. The timing of the piece feels cruel as, last night, Moore announced that she would be divorcing Kutcher after six years of marriage. Moore’s decision came after two women alleged that they had sex with the former “That ’70s Show” actor.

DID ASHTON AND DEMI HAVE AN OPEN RELATIONSHIP?

When asked about the best relationship advice he ever received, Kutcher offered, “I think it’s all about working on the relationship and making it better … when it’s good. Don’t wait for a problem to work on things. The goal is not to get into a relationship; the goal is to be in a relationship.”

Kutcher also finished the sentence: “I could never be with a woman who…” After thinking about it for a moment, he answered, “I could never be with a woman who felt like she needed to change me.” Perhaps Moore insisted too heavily that he end his allegedly philandering ways.

There is one compliment Kutcher wishes he had heard from Moore. The Women’s Health reporter asked the star what compliment he would most like to receive from a woman, and Kutcher shared, “I would just like a woman someday, somewhere, at some point in my life to say to me, ‘You’re a great listener.’ Haven’t heard it yet … but I’m going to work on it.”

Kutcher also appears on the December cover of this month’s Men’s Health and shared with the magazine that he does harbor one secret. “I’m relatively scared of failure,” he said.

A fear that has no doubt been exacerbated by the end of his once-happy relationship.
