Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis made it a three-day weekend, sharing a mini-vacation despite their reps’ denials that the couple is dating.
Kunis and Kutcher escaped from Los Angeles last Thursday, according to People, by driving to the oceanside city of Carpinteria, Calif., and holing up for the weekend. The two were spotted getting a sushi lunch together on Friday, before hitting a roadside market where Kunis purchased sunflowers. The pair wasn’t spotted out again until Sunday, when they popped into a local coffee shop before driving back to LA.
ASHTON KUTCHER, MILA KUNIS DATING: REPORT
MILA KUNIS REP DENIES ASHTON KUTCHER ROMANCE
Kutcher and Kunis — both newly single — have been friends for years and even played a couple on the sitcom “That ’70s Show.”
The two first aroused suspicion of a romantic link on April 15, when they went furniture shopping together in Los Angeles and later headed for sushi — perhaps their favorite food — at the restaurant Asanebo. While a witness said that the two appeared to be on a “full-on date,” Kunis’ rep soon explained, “They’re not dating. They’ve been friends for years and they had dinner with a bunch of friends.”
But after the pair spent the weekend together, a source close to Kutcher shared with People that the actor has been interested in Kunis in the past.
“He was so in love with her for a while when they worked together,” says the source. “He thought she was a goddess, was always talking about how beautiful she is. But she was with Macaulay [Culkin] for a lot of that time and also just generally gave off a not interested vibe. It never happened, but I’m not surprised by this – at all.”
